TWI consists of 3 programs that develop essential management skills:

  • Job Relations (JR) – Job Relations skills (also called leadership skills), aimed at building a foundation of cooperation, respect, and effective communication.
  • Job Instruction (JI) – Job Instruction skills, aimed at quickly training employees to be proficient, ensuring work is performed correctly, safely, and with care.
  • Job Methods (JM) – Job Methods skills, aimed at questioning the current process, generating ideas, and experimenting with improvements.

In addition, TWI includes 2 more programs:

  • Program Development (PD) – For members responsible for planning and developing workforce capability. Program Development focuses on identifying training needs and developing human resources toward key objectives (Productivity, Quality, Cost).
  • Problem Solving (PS) – Skills for effective problem solving.
